Iam getting totally confused between sign blank and page. Which one do I use to show the size of the page on the screen. Which one displays where it will cut on the cardstock.

Also my mat is curling. There are furrows for want of a better word where the rollers are used on the mat causing air pockets when the cardstock is adhered to the mat which causes the cardstock to get ripped while in the process of cutting. These airpockets are not always apparent until the cutting has commenced.

What settings are used for the folllowing:
Grunge board- I have tried the max force but it only scratches the surface.
Balsa craft wood - as displayed in the KNK store videos
250 gsm paper - I am either not enough or too much?
Chipboard- after using 10 sheets of chipboard and not having one successful cut grrrrrrrrrrrr???
Textured cardstock

Is there a chart anywhere as a guide? It is an awful lot of waste of paper when things go wrong a guide chart to at least get one closer to the correct settings would be great??

When I try to cut a shape on my GrooveE the mat keeps wiggling and throws off the design cut. It is not so noticeable if I am trying to cut something fairly simple, like text, but flowers or butterflies, for example, turn into a mess. What am I doing wrong? Does there need to be more pressure on the pinch wheels? Help...it's getting a little frustrating. -Donna<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

Is there any chance that the cable is defective? I've removed as many things with drivers that I can, even changed anti-virus programs and it is still not sending any data. I know it's a long shot, but is there some way I can check it?

Thanks,Jnett

Update it was supposed to make a circle and it drew
what looks like a check mark...I'm hoping that means it's not the
cable. Have to reset to make it continue.

Now I've done a square and a star, but it still won't cut the circle
or an abc string. This is what it did before. I really could use a
suggestion.

hi - i upgraded my computer which now has the windows 7 64bit, i have the older white knk 13". chad said i needed the serial cable and the pink serial to usb converter. they came today along with an extra black serial attachment that has a small female end and a very wide male end.
the pink usb to serial converter is waaaaaay too short to go from my machine to computer and i'm not sure what to do with the black attachment - i can't put the pink cable to the serial cable because there's no way to keep them together, (the screw things are too short) and i'm thinking that is what this black piece is for, like a jumper to go from one cable to the next, but the male end is too large to go into anything. i needed to get back up and running again, but i can't since i can't hook up my machine.
am i missing something????
thanks!!!!

I have a KNK Maxx, which I am sorry to say, I haven't had much time to play with, and so I get frustrated trying to remember how I did things the last time I started up! I have recently moved and after unpacking the knk, I found that the cuts I tried to cut seemed to be all over the place. The images are perfect, they are just not where I put them on the page, resulting in the cutting off the edge of the cardstock. Can a knk become 'uncalibrated' especially with a move? If so, what can I do? I know of no-one else who has a KNK, so I am on my own here!

I am not sure what I am doing wrong but when I try to import a file (ai, bmp) whatever the case may be, it just shows as a big square with an x through it. How can I fix this? Thanks.

Having a problem with knk software. All of a sudden all of the text letters are touching each other. From the software help, I found that I may just need to adjust the auto kern. Supposedly i need to right click the "auto kern" button to get a box to show up where I can pick from 5 basic settings. I cannot find "auto kern", just the on screen kern button, and right clicking that does nothing. help! I need to get some text cut today!
